- Bio-Medical Engineering, a field in Rehabilitation Engineering is a relatively new branch of science and deals with the application of the engineering skills, techniques and principles in rehabilitation and treatment of the handicapped. As a link between the science of rehabilitation medicine and technological advances the goal of Bio-medical engineering is to provide skills and gadgets to benefit the People with disability.
- The departmental staff comprises of One Bio-Medical Engineer
- Department is involved in procurement and maintenance of the sophisticated medical equipment and in developing new gadgets for people with disabilities.
Apart from academic activities of the institute like teaching, department also takes part in personal guidance to the graduate and post graduate engineering students from various Engineering colleges.
Bio Medical Engineer has been listed as co-author in the 11th Medical congress of the IUPESM: The World Congress on Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering: Germany.
